Biography:

Eugene Henri Paul Gauguin: (1848 –1903) Was a French Post-Impressionist and primitivism. Gauguin invented a style he coined "Synthetism" which became a Post-Impressionist form of modern art that is symbolized by nature through primitive subjects. His works express the feeling of escape from civilization. His signature style is flat forms, vibrant colors and untamed nature of primitive art. Gauguin and van Gogh would famously live and paint together in Arles, France. Gauguin is most famous for creating paintings such as "Yellow Christ", "The Green Christ", and "Where do we come from? What are we? Where are we going?"
